this is suspicious. it sounds like nuxt is passing a non-string in

its probably coming from here by the looks of it. a thrown error isn't necessarily a string. inside nuxt, we should probably String(error) or something, or error instanceof Error ? error.message : String(error) if that doesn't do the job
