Configuration for only spell checking comments?

The Zed extension doesn't like my perfectly valid identifiers for some reason.

Is there a way to make it only check comments? I checked the project README but couldn't see a way.

Another issue is that it checks code blocks in markdown comments. As a feature request it would be great if it could recognize Markdown code blocks and not check those.

Hey! Can you provide a file which isn't being checked correctly? In the meantime, you can add files (and globs) to the ignore config.

Ideally I'd like to disable spell checking all all code (including code in Markdown code blocks).

Thanks for the info. I see the issue. I'll say this is working as intended, but I could also see adding more configuration to only check comments.

There is an outstanding request to add a "Add all issues to ignore" quick action that would just take all the marked issues in a file and ignore them for the project, or globally. It seems like the main issue is that there are too many repo-specific terms to want to add them all manually to the ignore file? If that's the case, it would be a simpler fix.

"Add all issues to ignore" wouldn't work for me, simply because I'd have to do it all day every day as I type new abbreviations.

I've also accumulated many legit typos that need to be fixed now, I have to manually find and fix all of them before being able to use this function.

In the screenshots you can see that "args", "ty", "stmts", "ret" are all abbreviations that are accepted, but somehow "preds" is a typo. It seems buggy.

I don't think a spell checker can possibly know all my terminology and abbreviations that I use in my code, it should simply ignore code. That's what neovim's (probably the same as vim's) built-in spell checker does.
