PostgreSQL 18 for Windows (EDB Installer) missing PostGIS

As of Oct. 4, 2025, the EDB download of PostgreSQL 18 does not include PostGIS in the StackBuilder application. I've asked the company whether they plan to remedy that.

In the meantime, if you're a new reader of Practical SQL and are getting started, you can use the latest version of PostgreSQL 17 instead.

This issue does not affect users on macOS who are running PostgresApp.
