I think you have the elements needed to implement it -- this would be kind of PythonTutor fully browserside :)

Reeborg educational environment using Brython does this kind of thing - demo
Reeborg also injects tracecalls before executing. So the idea should be similar. You can read a bit in Reeborg issue

I have every intention of doing so

It is actually internally implemented and used by the tester in kodr the
app it was designed to work with.

I just did't have the time/need to add the visualization before the
semester started.

I will after the semester ends tho.
