We are working on porting our Freight100 robot on ROS2 and the main caveat are this binaries. We were able to run ROS1 on Ubuntu 22.04 and communicate with the robot's ROS1 components using ros_bridge, but it requried a lot of custom links and hacks to change versions of diverse packages to launch fetch_bringup.
It would help a lot if you could compile those binaries for Ubuntu 22 (and possibly Ubuntu 24) to let the Research Platform live. On our end we will be able to run ROS1 on Ubuntu 22 and communicate with ROS2 through ros_bridge and potentially rewrite original ROS1 code for ROS2!
