What problem are you facing?
There is a tree of connected devices in Virtualbox Manager - any VM - Settings - Storage
Hot-pluggable devices could only be found by clicking each device's icon; this is far from convenient.
How can we fix this?
Hot-pluggable devices should be clearly visualised in the tree.
It could be a dotted line instead of the ordinary solid line for the corresponding tree branch.
Other possibilities could be additional marks near the device icons.
Or using different icons for hot-plugged devices (additional plug on the icon or just different colour).
What alternatives or workarounds exist?
None.
