I want to share my HP printer via a leightweight server on an ARM architecture.
I want to use dockerized services for better maintainability.
I want to use open source software, because it provides more freedom and transparency.
Explanation
Currently, I have a working setup using hplip + cups. Since this might stop working in the future, I searched for viable alternatives. 1. My printer has a webserver allowing direct access over WiFi. I consider this webserver very insecure given the last firmware update was in 2020. So this is not a viable solution for me. 2. I checked ipp over usb (ipp-usb check) which did not list my printer. So hplip-printer-app seems the only viable solution.
