This repo provides wheels for certain linux oses and for python versions in the release assets that are not available in the wxpython Extras linux folder.
The official build process is not straightforward. You can come across dependency issues which can be frustrating.
I hope this repo helps in some bit.
Currently CentOS 8 wheels are available in the release assets for python versions 3.12. Hoping to add more soon
