Be aware, though, that depending on your distribution, compilation may still fail, if said kernel is set to treat certain warnings as errors, in which case you will need to do a bit more, as described in #1015 (comment).

An updated 580.xx driver with v6.19 compatibility was released a week or so ago, and a post-580.xx driver with v6.19 compatibility should be released soon. I'm sorry for the delays.

My apologies: a 595.xx release was supposed to be released by now and would have contained the Linux v6.19 compatibility fixes; that was unfortunately delayed.

For using the current 590.48.01 release with Linux v6.19:

• If building from the open-gpu-kernel-modules repo, you can of course use the CachyOS patch that @ptr1337 pointed to earlier in this thread:

cd open-gpu-kernel-modules
patch -p1 < kernel-6.19.patch
make modules modules_install

• If using (or repackaging from) the NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-590.48.01.run file, you can apply the attached 590.48.01_v6.19.patch:

sh ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-590.48.01.run --extract-only
patch -p0 < 590.48.01_v6.19.patch
./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-590.48.01/nvidia-installer --silent

That patch is functionally equivalent to the CachyOS patch, but we normally use our conftest.sh script rather than kernel version checks, for compatibility with distribution kernels containing backported changes.

Note: the v6.19 compatibility issue only impacted the open nvidia kernel modules. It isn't preferred, but an alternative work around is to use the proprietary modules:

sh ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-590.48.01.run --silent --kernel-module-type=proprietary

595.xx release is supposed to be very soon (roughly within the next week), but last-minute problems can cause delays, so I'm reluctant to make any promises. Sorry I can't give anything concrete.

The March 5th 595.45.04 release still hasn't fixed the issue for me.
