Usability of Next of Kin - Replace with Relative or Family

The data_subject classification of next_of_kin seems a bit esoteric. From a usability perspective, a more plain English designation might be better to represent relatives/family relationships. While Next of Kin does have some nuance that may be lost by replacing it with something simpler, e.g. relative or family, we could improve the developer experience.

https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/next_of_kin defines next of kin as:

A person’s next of kin is their closest living blood relative, including spouses and adopted family members.

Having the nok designation excludes deceased relatives, possibly divorced spouses, and relatives that might not be "closest"

My suggestion is to nest next_of_kin under an intermediate classifier or relative, family, or family_member. family leaves things up to interpretation, inclusive of both blood relatives, legal relationships, and familial relationships that don't fall into the legal definition.
