Update bytebuddy to enable java 25 use

Java 25 has different access rules for bytebuddy than older versions, and using java 25 with the current dependency set is broken.

Suggestion: update mockito and bytebuddy to more recent versions. This will allow regression testing for issue #8 .

Thanks, this looks useful.

CI is failing in the benchmark workflow. I checked the benchmark pom.xml, and it has its own dependency/plugin versions, so the root dependency update does not apply there automatically.

Could you please update the benchmark module too and make sure the Performance Smoke Check passes?

Yes. I was trying to stay out of that, because it's a weird submodule relationship - I'd have set up "library" or "core" as a module, then had benchmark etc be peer submodules, so I figured rather than nudge everything in weird directions, I'd sort of ignore the problem altogether. But I'll see what I can do.
