Ability for logged on user to "claim" a findings for review under their own account.

While partially covered by the reviewer section. I and others would like the ability to claim a finding for review and triage to help at a glance understand what findings are being actioned and what findings haven't yet. Similar to an IT ticketing system if we even just had the option to set our own logged in user account as the reviewer for a CVE that would suffice.

While it might not be in the nature of the platform depending on how the philosophy is on the development side for teams to interact with DefectDojo like a ticket system, the ability to have ownership and tracking findings you are working on and clearly communicate that to others on the team at a glance without other communication I think would be a major improvement to the platform.

Would it help if we would allow to request peer review to choose the currently logged in user from the dropdown?

Yes mostly definitely! Within the post as well I noted that it would be an acceptable addition that would facilitate the ability to interact more easily with findings in the way I describe without *hopefully causing too much architectural problems on your end
