Description
I have an issue where the left and right sides of my Vive Pro 2 aren't aligned to each other.
The type of misalignment depends on the resolution set in steamvr.vrsettings.
Problem Description
Choosing a vivepro2.resolution from 0 through 2 leads to vertical misalignment.
The right perspective appears to be higher above ground than the left one (or pointing slightly more upwards).
Looking at an object with my left eye means I have to look further up to look at the object with my right eye.
I have never made it work with resolution 3. SteamVR doesn't seem to recognize the HMD:

With resolutions 4 and 5 there is horizontal misalignment.
The left and right perspectives diverge.
Looking at an object with my left eye means I have to look further to the right to look at the object with my right eye.
The left view seems to align with reality (VR boundaries align with room walls), and the right one has a wrong perspective.
How I Tested It
- Install NVIDIA drivers, Vulkan, and Steam.
- Install SteamVR through Steam.
- Start SteamVR to complete the installation (requires superuser privileges), then stop it.
- Run the built
install.sh. - Update
vivepro2.resolutioninsteamvr.vrsettings. - Plug in the HMD and turn on the link box.
- Start SteamVR.
I've tested SteamVR with Beta Participation "beta" and "None" with all possible resolution values.
