Failed to load server: 500 internal Server error

Hi! when i trying to start minecraft server it shows me error:

Failed to load server: 500 Internal Server Error: [Errno 30] Read-only file system: '/tmp/.mount_MinecrnIOrso/resources/backend/java_runtimes'
Okay

i'm running app on:

archlinux  x86_64
Hyprland 0.54.2 wayland

i tried to build from source code and run from executable but it shows me the same error

Hey! Thanks for reporting this, I had no idea about this one since I develop on Windows and don't have a Linux machine to test on — the Linux builds are done through GitHub Actions so I couldn't catch this.

Basically what's happening is that one of the internal components was trying to write the Java runtime files to the app's own directory, which works fine on Windows but on Linux with AppImage that directory is mounted as read-only (the /tmp/.mount_XXX thing). My bad 😅

I've fixed it so now all writable data (Java runtimes, configs, logs) goes to ~/.minecraft_server_gui/ on Linux instead. Should work fine on both AppImage and source builds now.

Fix is on the new release, hope it works now!
