Great question. However, the scope of 1.8 has dramatically changed since we last updated the roadmap, which I just updated so you can see the new scope. Specifically, the regex plans and REST keyword plans have been significantly deprioritized in light of the new MCP capabilities which are being added in the next three months. The new MCP support will mean apps with agentic workflow can now leverage Data API builder to interact with the database in a safe way. However, it means some of the candy we had hoped to introduce will come later next year instead of in the next 1 or 2 releases. I wish we had the ability to do even more, but for now, the work we are doing to enable MCP is adding significant new and awesome capabilities that benefit both GraphQL and REST users, too. All of the releases have slid a month or so back because this work is complex. Like you, we also love Data API builder, and you'll continue to see us delivering features like you are mentioning here. |
