Can't upload icons

Hi everyone, today I had a creative streak, and I've made four icons I'd like to share with you. They are for apps that I use, but haven't been covered in the set so far - a cycling app Ride with GPS, Petrol Spy, an Aussie app that helps you find the best fuel prices, as well as an alternative (and closer to original) version of Podcast Guru, and finally SwaRail. one I haven't used, but that has been very often requested, from what I can see. The trouble is there's a message that I can't upload the files to the newicons folder. I get the message that says: Uploads are disabled. File uploads require push access to this repository. Does it mean you currently don't accept contributions, or is there a secret way in? :)

In the meantime I went ahead and made a few more straightforward icons. For Victorian public transport app V/line, for Pocket Magnifier XXL, and for another one from the requested que - Manus AI. Still can't upload, so for now they are just fun excercise.

You have to fork the Repo and then upload it to your fork. After that you can create a pull request.

OK, now I'm looking at the files I've uploaded, but I can't see where I can sort of update them with the codes from appfilter (and from the request dashboard). Do I have to upload them to the newicons folder in my new fork again? I'll try to do just that, and see what happens.

The easiest way is to use GitHub Desktop.
Then you have the whole repo on the filesystem on your PC. There you open the appfilter.xml that is located in the newicons folder with vs-code or notepad++. There you add the code.

The code as a part named drawable this needs to be the same as the icon is named.

:D This sounds easy to someone who's done it before (I know, it's the same in my line of work), but to me it sounds like Harry Potter. I've got GitHub Desktop, but when I'm trying to open the xml in notepad++ (yup, I've got it for when I was updating the UI for the old Oblivion), it cries and throws a tantrum saying the file it requires doesn't exist, but when I'm telling it to create it, it replies coldly that it cannot). I'll get back to it in the morning with fresher mind and hopefully more ideas. For now I've uploaded the files with appropriate codes. Kaiserdragon2, you're a star! Thank you.

Allright, so it's morning, and I'm back. Let me organise my thoughts.
I've opened GitHub, and there in the History tab I've found newicons\appfilter.xml. I hope that's the right one. I've clicked on it, which opened the xml in Notepad++. I understand I need to copy/paste the codes, and name the svg files appropriately.
Did that, and saved. Now I can see the new lines in Changes tab.
At this step: Now you can create a pull request by pressing the button. This will open the GitHub site again, I hit the wall again, because a window opens that says: There are no changes. main is up to date with all commits from FirstSmallBatch (that's what I named my commit).
I don't know what my next step should be. The guide instructs that by pulling request I should open the GitHub site again, but nothing like that happens...

Hmm, I believe I managed to do everything right this time round. But I can also see the files I uploaded last night, but some of them they have wrong names. Is there a way I can delete them and leave only the right ones?
