Cannot delete an attribute

Created and added attributes to lot/serial class but once added they can be replaced but not deleted. There are no inventory items so no records for lot/serials. Error message is :CR Error: The attribute cannot be removed because it is active. Make it inactive before removing.

There is no way to make an attribute inactive.

We second this. Our "fix" is to switch it out with different attribute (we substitute it)
